One Island Rental

Travel a single island’s coastline—no crossings required.

We shuttle you and your gear by motorboat to your starting beach, you camp and paddle along the same island, and we pick you up at a different beach at trip’s end. It simplifies navigation, avoids big-water crossings, and still feels like a journey. A half-day Safety Review is included with every multi-day rental.

Three Service Levels

Choose the support that fits your style—from essentials only to fully equipped and provisioned. One Island rentals include a Garmin InReach (two-way satellite texting + GPS) and daily weather forecasts from shore.

  • Bare Bones — the legal & safety essentials to get you on the water.
  • Equipped — full camp & kitchen setup added to Bare Bones.
  • Provisioned — we plan, shop, and pack your meals; you show up and go.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is a One Island rental right for me?

Perfect if you want a point-to-point feel without open-water crossings; 8–22 total miles feels right; and your group can handle surprise wind (2–3′ whitecaps for ~3 miles) and land a loaded kayak through 1–2′ breakers. Otherwise, consider a Guided Expedition or a One Beach Rental.

How does it work — step by step?

1) Motorboat drop-off at your starting beach. 2) Camp + paddle between beaches on the same island. 3) Pickup from a different beach—typically around 10:00 am on the final day to beat weather. Inter-island shuttle available if you want to link islands.

How many nights can we stay on one beach?

The National Marine Park of Loreto limits camping to two nights per beach — plan your beach hops accordingly.

Do we get a skills/safety refresher?

Yes — a half-day Safety Review is included with every multi-day rental.

What’s not included?

Personal clothing & alcohol. Ask about adding extras if needed.

Suggested Routes

Isla del Carmen

Scenic variety, superb snorkeling, and Sierra la Giganta views. Options to extend north or around the south tip in good weather. More exposed in “norte” than Danzante

Isla Danzante

A charming 8-mile circumnavigation with many short hops, two nature trails, dramatic cliffs, and great snorkeling on both sides. Consider two different beaches (max two nights each): one for sunrise, one for mountain views.
