In June 2024 Sea Kayak Baja Mexico hosted our first Kayak Maintenance and Repair Course training young adults with career skills. Responsible work ethics and quality of workmanship were emphasized along with technical skills. All 4 participants received diplomas upon completion of the 4-week course.
SKBM sponsored the materials and instructor time for this pilot program to offer it without charge to the participants. We aim to offer it annually in the early summer. Future programs will have a cost to participants with scholarships available. Sponsorship is welcome.
This course is also offered by request for groups of 2-6 students.
